What We Offer!

• We are a full gospel church, we believe in the trinity. We have quartely communion services, baptize by submersion, believe in the ministry of laying on of hands, praying for the sick, the baptism in the Holy Ghost, an the nine spiritual gift's.
• We preach from the King James Version of the bible.
• We use Assemblies of God literature, Kindergarten through the Teen classes. The young adult, and adult classes teach directly from the bible.
• We have a congergational choir, and sing from church hymnal's
• We encourage special signing from the congergation, we have a state of the art sound system for those who sing with sound-tracks, and encourage the use of musical instruments for those who have such talent.
• We have a board of director's which includes the pastor an 5-other men who meet the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:8-12. We convene every month to review our financial report, and any other items on the agenda.
• We have a month by month financial declaration for congergational review.
• We make available individual Stewardship Reports to the congergation with full disclosure of money given by individuals into the church for tax purposes.
• We produce a monthly newsletter, with a schedule of services for both adult an youth.
• We have in-home, hospital, and convalescent pastoral care.
• We have a 24-hour prayer group who respond to church, and outside requests for emergency prayer.
• We support missions.
• We have a ladies group, "Ladies Ministries of Service" which convene each month for fellowship, prayer, and to discuss fund raising, or other special events.
• We a staffed nursery available for Sunday morning worship service.
• .We offer yearly youth camps for those who wish to participate, and sponser the young people who faithfully attend Antioch Church.
• We are a member of the Fellowship of Churches.

History

Antioch Church begins its history over 50 years ago, prior to 1949. The congregation first held services in the Old Antioch District School House with various speakers filling the pulpit. The old facility was erected under the leadership of the church's first pastor, Reverend Wilson Henegar. Remodeled numerous times, the old church outlived its usefulness. With the decision of the congregation to build a completely new facility in 2003, the final service was held on Sunday, December 31, 2006 in the old facility. The first services held in the new facility were on January 7, 2007.

The congregation worked many long hours with the help from other local pastors, church members, and just good neighbors who pitched in to complete the process of our new facility.

Pastors Dale and Judy Merideth under the direction of the Holy Spirit came to pastor Antioch in the year of 1986. Since then much has been accomplished and we expect the Lord to continue to do great things as we follow after His will. The Lord's return is very near and we believe we must work "while it's day, because the night cometh when no man can work."
