Camp Meeting 2008 Brings Change

by COGAF News

We don't have the official numbers yet, but Camp Meeting 2008 was very well attended. Change, unity, structure, growth and a positive attitude was the central message of the week. There were a number of ministers presented with licenses and ordinations on Friday night. Rev. Mike Purkey brought two inspiring messages and encouraged ministers to press on and keep going strong. Pastor Bear Boyle and his team did a wonderful job in leading worship. Pastor Kelly Ward, General Superintendent of COGAF, spoke on Friday morning about "the atmosphere you permit determines the product you produce." Rev. Joe Edmonson delivered a great missions message on Thursday night and reminded us that the first Sunday of the month is Missions Sunday. COGAF is headed through an exciting growth process that has already begun. One thing we can be sure of is "our God is more than enough!"
